Mayyun Organization holds the Houthi group responsible for the life of the Yemeni parliamentarian, Hashed

Mayyun Human Rights Organization condemns the threats of death and physical harm that parliamentarian Ahmed Saif Hashed received from a number of leaders of the Houthi militants.

These threats issued due to Hashid’s political stances and what he publishes in his accounts on social media platforms are violations of the right to life and the right to expression, as the Houthi group insists on silencing mouths. As we follow and monitor the failure of the Houthi group to take any measures to control those who made threats despite announcing their identities, and the organization follows with concern the failure to take any measures to protect the parliamentarian residing in Sana’a, and we hold it responsible for his life and the lives of other journalists and activists demanding the payment of salaries who received the same threats.
