Welcoming statement to unilaterally renew the initiative to open “Hays Al-Jarrah” road

Mayyun Organization welcomes the renewal of the Yemeni Presidency Council member Tariq Mohammed Abdullah Saleh’s initiative to open “Hays Al-Jarrahi” Road for citizens’ freedom of movement.

This step by the Presidential Leadership Council would set a model to follow in opening the rest of the blocked roads between the governorates, and it is also a step on the road to building trust between the parties to reach a sustainable peace in Yemen.

In this regard, we call on the Houthi group to deal positively with this humanitarian initiative and open Al-Jarrahi-Hais road for their part to facilitate the movement of citizens.
