Mayyun Human Rights Organization welcomes the release of
117 Houthi prisoners by the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in
Yemen, and their transfer today, Friday, May 6, 2022, on flights
to Sanaa and Aden.
This process, announced unilaterally and under the auspices of
the International Committee of the Red Cross, will enable the
released detainees to be reunited with their families after
years of separation.
The organization calls again for the completion of
a comprehensive process between the various parties to release
all prisoners, detainees and forcibly disappeared persons on
the principle of “all for all” in accordance with the prisoner
exchange agreement signed between the two parties under the
auspices of the United Nations.
